I was once told that public school education would be my demise. I was told that going to a private school would make a significant difference in what I would accomplish and the education I would receive.
And I now can say, “Fuck you,” with ease to all those people that told me that Hialeah High would stop me from accomplishing all my goals.
A vast amount of my high school achievements have been THANKS to the education that Hialeah offered me and the people I met along the way. No private school could have offered me the guidance and friendships that I gained at HHS.
I cannot speak on behalf of all my classmates, but from the looks of this picture, public school education served them well too.
So, to all the public schools haters: look at us.
And please…try and explain to me how you’re better than any of us.
